Compliance Code

All personnel, experts and members of the Committees providing certification and expert activity of Legallis LLC are obliged to maintain the integrity of its accredited certification system and to unconditionally comply with the principles and requirements set forth in this Code.

1. Basic principles

  • 1.1 Always act professionally, accurately, honestly and impartially.
  • 1.2 Comply with the requirements of the applicable legislation on the location or stay, the certification system, the certification body and disclose any information that may be important to maintain a high level of trust in the certification body by a wide range of interested parties.

2. Independence and objectivity

  1. 2.1 Not engage in any activity or relationship that may affect or be expected to affect impartial judgment in any matter of activity or relationship, other biased conduct or decisions regarding applicants, clients and other interested parties involved to the certification process.
  2. 2.2 Report any signs or facts of violation of the conflict of interest with the organization that is an applicant or holder of a certificate, the audit or assessment of which is carried out, in respect of which a decision is made or in respect of which the decision made may have any consequences, before carrying out any or function and/or make any decision.
  3. 2.3 Not to accept any gifts, incentives, promises of benefits that could influence, adversely affect or jeopardize the ability to act independently, objectively and impartially in the performance of their functions on behalf of the certification body or within the framework of the certification body’s program, responsibility for which is fully or partially assigned to the certification body.

3. Privacy

  • 3.1 Take all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality of any information not required to be disclosed by law, the procedures of the certification system and/or the certification body, including but not limited to:
  • a) information and documentation received from applicants at the stage of submitting applications for certification;
  • b) information and documentation received during the certification both from the applicant/certificate owner, and from the certification body or any category of interested persons who are participants in the certification process;
  • c) information about the results of certification activities, other relationships at any stage of the certification process.

4. Professionalism

  • 4.1. Act in accordance with the regulatory documents of the certification system and the internal procedures of the certification body, including policies, guidelines, standards, procedures, instructions and other documents that are mandatory for application.
  • 4.2 Undertake the obligation to carry out honest, high-quality and open communication during any activities that are part or an independent process of the certification activity of the certification body.
  • 4.3 To be consistent and accurate in their evaluations of information and documentation obtained during certification activities, participation in which is an official, contractual or other obligation as an employee, contractor, expert, member of the Committee or other interested person.
  • 4.4 Take all measures to carry out certification actions, based on the requirement to perform all planned and necessary actions, avoiding any oversights and complying with all known requirements.
  • 4.5 Clearly and clearly separate facts from opinions when making any decision, having all available and objective evidence to support this decision.
  • 4.6 Avoid making biased decisions, recommendations and actions that may call into question the business and professional reputation, discredit its staff, customers and other interested parties;
  • 4.7 To act honestly, diligently, respectfully and effectively in all situations and in relation to all concerned persons.
